Our mid-day host, Peter Natale, has some special programming this week for your musical enjoyment and entertainment.

Stay Tuned

During the one o’clock hour on Monday, February  27th, and Tuesday, February 28th, Peter will take us back to 1970, as he looks at the Number 1 Songs – the songs that held the top honors.  On Monday they include the songs from the first half of the year – January 1st through July 4th, and on Tuesday they include the Number 1 Songs from the second half of the year – July 11th through December 31st.

Top 10

During the one o’clock hour on Wednesday, March 1st, we have our Weekly Top Ten Countdown – this week the year is 1962.  Find out what the top ten songs were while hearing some interesting  facts about the artists – hear about where they grew up, who influenced their music, and learn some other trivia facts.

Very Best

During the one o’clock hour on Thursday, March 2nd, it’s a look at Signature Songs of the 1970s. Starting with 1970, and progressing one year at a time up to 1980, hear the songs that are most closely associated with a particular musical artist.

On Friday, tune in at 12:15 pm as Peter interviews the legendary Johnny Mathis!  This will be the second time Peter has this honor!  Some of his most famous recordings include A Certain Smile, Misty, It’s Not for Me to Say, Wonderful, Wonderful, and his monumental single Chances Are, his first #1 song from August 1957.

All week long, in addition to America’s Best Music, join Peter in the one o’clock hour for some special musical fun!  Listen on FM 97.7, AM 740, live stream from our website, www.wmbgradio.com, or use TuneIn Radio on your smart phone or tablet.
