Liana Dagmar took some time away from her Dancing with the Williamsburg Stars rehearsals to perform Nina Simone’s “I Put A Spell On You,” her own original song “Impossible,” and The Cranberries’ “Zombie” on the WMBG Super Sound Showcase sponsored by CultureFix.

Virginia “bass”ed musician Scott Varney first picked up a bass at the age of 14. He dabbled in everything from punk and hardcore to funk and jazz. Today, Scott’s musical talents have refined into a singular but hard to define style that draws a blend of folk, funk, and jazz. He brings this sound together with his voice, his six-string bass guitar, drums, and various percussion instruments. One characteristic element of his modern day one-man band performance is “Looping” his vocals and instruments to create the sound of a full band with the occasional Beat Box to supplement the beat.
Scott Varney appeared on the WMBG Super Sound Showcase sponsored by CultureFix to perform a pair of songs “Daydreamin’,” “Wanting & Waiting,” and “Carry On.”
