After his father’s service overseas and stateside, a final assignment to Fort Eustis eventually led the family to move to Williamsburg in 1968. Ken was educated locally and received an Associate Degree in engineering from Thomas Nelson. He started at Owens-Illinois when the plant located to Toano in 1980, and during his 39-year tenure there worked his way up to management. He retired in the fall of 2018 and took a month traveling abroad with wife Vikkie. While they were in Southampton, England, Ken was interviewed by BBC Solent radio personality, Alex Dyke, and that further motivated Ken to chase his dream of radio broadcasting. His love of radio dates back to his youth, and he is a walking encyclopedia of all genres of music. He has an impressive list of rock concerts he’s attended and is sometimes mistaken for a rock star himself. His other interests include history, traveling, photography and gardening. Ken has two children and three grandchildren. Ken Goodfellow Sunni Mid Day with Sunni Weekdays 12pm – 3 pm has a lifelong love for entertainment that goes back to early childhood theater, young adult amateur theater and professional dinner theater as an actress for several summer. The road from theater was paved with many interesting and challenging occupations along the way. Her past includes successful runway, lingerie and bathing suit modeling, regionally and nationally working as a professional voice-over artist and working as a television weather personality. She also honorably served in the United States’ Air Force, and earned a college degree after serving, while working in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Sunni has always looked for a challenge and enjoyed each and every thing she has packed into her resume, but her genuine love for people and music is what eventually led her into radio. From theater, television, modeling to being a jazz show host and radio producer, if asked, “What have you enjoyed doing the most?” she will reply, “Whatever comes next,” but admits radio is her love. Sunni Brian Moricle The End of the Day Countdown with Flyin’ Brian Weekdays 3 pm – 6 pm graduated from Bruton High School and served six years in the U.S. Air Force. After getting out, he earned a degree in Accounting before eventually ending up in radio. Brian started with WMBG in 2015 as an intern. He especially loves playing his favorite music from the 1970s. His biggest pet peeve is getting stuck in I-64 traffic and having to repeatedly press his heavy resistance clutch pedal, but hopefully his afternoon traffic reports save you from the same dilemma!
